Ormond College is nearly 150 years old.

The Campaign for Ormond College is a major philanthropic project that seeks to ensure that Ormond continues to provide world-class facilities, transformative scholarship support, and an exceptional student experience for generations to come.

The challenge was to mobilise a broad, multi-generational alumni and supporter base to see Ormond College not as a past chapter of their lives, but as a living institution at a critical turning point to raise $30 million by the end of 2027.

This campaign needed to

  • Reignite emotional connection among alumni, parents of alumni, or current students

  • Translate heritage and pride into urgent, meaningful action

  • Demonstrate why investment now is essential and impactful

  • Convert passive pride into participation, repeat giving and advocacy

Silver Lining | A seat at the table for everyone

From The Last Supper to the modern nuclear family, the act of coming together at the table is one of deep connection. The formality and etiquette of dining together is a framework for listening and sharing.

At Ormond College, the beating heart of the campus is the Dining Hall.

Since 1893, the hall has witnessed generations of rituals, friendships, debates, perhaps the odd invention or business plan and much, much laughter. It’s what every Ormondian remembers or reveres. As such, we need to ensure it remains fit for purpose and world-class for centuries to come.

On March 24th 2026 , we created a series of films set in The Dining Hall, with a cast of over 60 students and alumni dining on one long table. A mix of dolly and drone shots captured the magnificence of the hall and provided a 50s master spot, accompanied by three student-to-alumni talking heads discussing scholarships, the future of Ormond and the need for world-class facilities.

Results

To date, the campaign has raised over $18 million.
